NRA Basic Pistol Course
The NRA Basic Pistol course is designed for people that are new to firearms with little or no shooting
experience.  This course is will teach you the basics of handgun safety,  handling, operation,
marksmanship skills and much more.  It is also a good course for anyone that would like to refresh their
understanding of firearms safety.  Pistols are available for rent for an additional $10.00 per person.

This course is also a prerequisite for the NRA Pistol Instructor course.

NRA Personal Protection in the Home Course
The NRA Personal Protection in the Home course begins where the NRA Basic Pistol course ends, and it
is the first defensive based NRA pistol course.

The NRA Personal Protection in the Home course meets  the State of Michigan training standards that you
are required to complete prior to applying for the Concealed Pistol License (CPL).  Upon successful
completion of this course, you will be provided a signed certificate of completion that you must submit
along with your CPL application.

This course is also a prerequisite for the NRA Personal Protection in the Home Instructors course.

Please note that there are no refunds on class fees paid.  If you can not attend the class you originally
enrolled in, you can attend the next open scheduled class date, however a $50.00 per student fee may be
here for the list of items that you must bring to class.
