Price includes training materials and books. A $50.00 fee must be paid directly to the NRA when you
submit your application. The fee will be slightly higher if you are not an NRA Member

Instructor Candidates will also be required to pass a three part test which demonstrates your knowledge of
firearms safety, handgun operation, and marksmanship skills. These tests must be passed to qualify as a
NRA Certified Instructor. These tests will be administered during the three day course, or arrangements can

Great Lakes Firearms Safety Training is offering NRA Certified Instructor training courses. These
courses are designed for safe, competent, and experienced shooters that have the knowledge, skill and
attitude necessary to properly teach the safe and proper use of firearms. Candidates that successfully
complete the course will obtain NRA Instructor certifications in Basic Pistol and Personal Protection in the
Home. These certifications will allow you to teach Concealed Carry Classes in most states,
including Michigan, Illinois, Ohio and Wisconsin.
**Please note that students wishing to become NRA Instructors are required to have previously
taken the student version of that course. Example: The NRA Basic Pistol student course is a
required course for anyone that wants to become an NRA Basic Pistol Instructor.
